Applications

Click to open a Cortexx application web interface. When the application is opened, the tile becomes blue.

Use the on/off switch on the application tile to quickly enable/disable the application:

= Application is enabled, click to disable the application.

= Application is disabled, click to enable the application.

Note that you must have user rights to change the application settings and initially you must enter the VMI administrator password.

Add

Click to add a new Cortexx application.

Sandbox

Click to open the Sandbox page (http://[host]/Sandbox). The Sandbox page shows the source and working folders when CORTEXX is started with the CortexxCoreLauncher.

Kiosk

Click to open the kiosk mode (http://[host]/kiosk).

Local

Click to open the local host (http://localhost).

Chat

Click to open a chat dialog to send messages to other CORTEXX users, For example, if you want to ask other users if it is OK to reboot the IPC or restart the application.

Status

Gauges

The gauges on the Cortexx IPC web interface indicate:

• The percentage of CPU capacity used.
• The percentage of memory capacity used.
• The actual CPU temperature.
• The amount of disk capacity used in GB.
• The percentage of the rated lifetime used of the Solid‑State Drive (SSD).

Cortexx Version

The current Cortexx version.

Build Date

The build date of the Cortexx software.

Build Time

The build time of the Cortexx software.

UPS Status

The connection status of the UPS.

NOTICE: Only available on an IPC.

Network Connections

Shows the connection status, adapter name, IP address, and DHCP setting of the available network adapters.

: Indicates that the network adapter is connected.

NOTICE: Only available on an IPC.

Tiles

The IPC Maintenance page provides access to a set of available maintenance functions. For example, task scheduler, backup and restore, package installation, etc.

The Logging page shows all entries in the log.

Configure a kiosk screen on the local host.

NOTICE: Only available on an IPC and not available through a web browser.

Calibrate the touch screen.

NOTICE: Only applicable for IPCs with a touchscreen. Not available through a web browser.

When the machine has a VMI Vision System (VVS), us this tile to start the VVS user interface (VVSU).

NOTICE: Only available on an IPC and not available through a web browser.

The IPC Network Settings page shows all of your network connections. A network connection is a set of information that enables your computer to connect to the Internet, a network, or another computer. Also firewall setting are accessed through this page.

In the IPC Settings page you can configure global computer settings like, web interface theme, computer name, timezone, etc.

The File Manager page is used to manage files and folders in the IPC local storage. Also files and folders can be downloaded from and uploaded to the IPC local storage.

In the IPC Configuration page you can prepare a complete IPC configuration offline without the need of a physical IPC. The prepared IPC configuration settings are saved to an IPC configuration settings file (.vic3). You can then load this file into the IPC and apply the settings.

The Cultures page is used to add, edit, or delete CORTEXX platform translations. Also, you can import, export, or edit translations related to each language / culture code.

The All Kiosk Clients page gives an overview of all available kiosk clients. If you have multiple applications, all kiosk clients for all applications are shown.

In the User Management page, the customer can manage users and user roles for the CORTEXX platform. The customer that uses CORTEXX can decide who can access what feature on the CORTEXX IPC.

In the API Access page API access tokens can be generated and managed. An API access token is a credential that a client provides when making API calls. API tokens are supposed to be a secret key that only the client and server know.

In the FTP Connections page FTP connections to external FTP servers can be managed. These FTP connections can be used to automatically store backups and/or automatically install new packages.

In the External Devices page you can manage external devices in the machine configuration. For example, the PLC, other IPCs, VMI PIXXEL cameras, etc.

Close all applications and reboot the CORTEXX IPC.
